¡A su salud! is an intermediate-level Spanish program designed to help students and practicing health professionals develop oral proficiency skills-listening and speaking-as well as cultural awareness. It uses a complementary mix of technologies, including DVD-based video, telephone, web and print materials.
One of the biggest challenges facing the UNC-based team behind the project has been how to promote oral proficiency in a distance learning environment, while at the same time adopting technologies that are affordable to as many health and education institutions and students as possible.
